Ian MacPherson, P.G.A. Professional, is a native of Scotland, a former West of Scotland Strokeplay Champion, and Suffolk Matchplay Champion.

 

He is highly regarded as a Coach in Suffolk and lists among his former pupils:

 

Julie Otto, nee Wade, three times Curtis Cup golfer and winner of multiple English and British titles.

Joanne Hockley, England International, British Strokeplay champion and English Amateur champion.

 

Greame Shaw (Haggs Castle) Walker Cup player.

 

Amanda Hockley, Suffolk County Strokeplay Champion.

 

Hiedi Baek, England Under 15 Strokeplay Champion.

 

His son Steven was twice Suffolk Junior and Professional Champion and is now a Professional in Canada. Ian also assisted in setting up the highly successful Suffolk County Junior Coaching Programme.

 

Ian, aided by his pro shop team, P.G.A. Assistant, Andrew Robinson, Sarah Walden, and his wife Olga, provides all of the services expected by Members and Visitors to make the golfing experience more enjoyable.
