Seniors Invitation Day (September)
On behalf the Seniors Section, very many thanks to you and all the green keepers for the excellent state and presentation of the Martello Course. The course provided excellent playing conditions and was generally highly praised by our guest players. The Greens were particularly praised.

Colneis Flower Club

On behalf of the Committee and members of the Colneis Flower Club, I would like to thank you and your staff for making our Christmas Dinner extremely enjoyable.

Your Team had obviously put considerable thought and effort into the evening. The Tables looked beautiful and the food was enjoyed by all.

80th Birthday Celebrations
Just a line to say thank you to you and your staff, for all your hard work and planning, to make sure my 80th Birthday Meal went so well. Everyone I have spoken to say the meal was superb, but also the finishing touches – the balloons were an unusual and a nice touch.

The weather was wonderful with a brisk breeze to give the players something to think about”.

Although sadly our team did not win, it was a great occasion for them and I am sure they have learned a bit about playing at Felixstowe.”

The Martello course is absolutely stunning and we were extremely impressed by the fairways – it’s just a shame we didn’t spend more time on them. We all found the course immensely challenging and for many of us it was our first taste of links golf. Despite our golfing struggles everyone had a very enjoyable day and were extremely complimentary of the catering.”

Many thanks for yet another splendid week of golf and relaxation at sunny Felixstowe – all my party from Stoneham are keen to re-book next year. Can I confirm that I would also like to book Apartment 2 next year as I have 3 definite and several possibles already and we may come as a 9-ball, but it’s a long way off at the moment.

 

As this was my 21st Trip you will appreciate that I have seen some changes over the years. The Course improves every year and is obviously responding to whatever programme you have and the refurbishment of the Apartments is terrific, so congratulations to all concerned. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our trip.

The Sausage Visit
As always we had a brilliant day in all respects. Sorry only 24 in number but the date clashed with some of the boys on their annul Irish Tour and holidays for some others.

As we have been in 2010 and 2011 (don’t usually visit a club every year, but Felixstowe Ferry is MY favourite so that members go where I arrange), we will not return until 2013.

There is a grave danger I will come over with some mates before then, so expect the odd phone call.

Morning Ray, I just wanted to thank you, on behalf of The Fenners for such an enjoyable day last Wednesday. The weather was perfect – of course, but we always enjoy your course. It was in lovely condition and for those of us who didn’t exactly “conquer” it, the Fish and Chips were a wonderful compensation. Thanks top everyone involved.

I should like to say how much we enjoyed playing at Felixstowe Ferry last Tuesday. We had a beautiful sunny day with hardly any wind. The course was playing superbly and was in wonderful condition.
